Overbite: An overbite is when your upper front teeth overlap with your lower front teeth. Most people have at least a little overbite.

Underbite: An underbite is when you close your mouth and your lower front teeth are in front of your upper teeth. In many cases, this is actually a problem with your lower jaw being too far forward.

Underbite

Crossbite: When you close your mouth and some of your upper teeth are sitting inside your lower teeth — rather than on the outside, like they normally would — your doctor calls this a crossbite.

Gap teeth: When you have extra space between two or more of your teeth, your doctor calls this spacing issues or gap teeth.

Open bite: If your upper and lower teeth don’t touch when your mouth is closed, your doctor calls this an open bite.

Crowded teeth: When you don’t have enough room in your jaw for your teeth to fit normally, your teeth can bunch up, overlap and twist, sometimes getting pushed to the front or the back.

Do you recognize yourself in one of these descriptions? It might be time to contact us and take the first step in getting the smile of your dreams.

Contrary to what you might think, Invisalign© doesn’t take a one size fits all approach. Not only are your aligners personalized, Invisalign© uses different technologies like SmartForce® Attachments and precision wings to cater to the variety of issues the orthodontist is fixing. Also, the big difference we will see between a simple and a more complex case is the length of treatment. If you are turning to Invisalign© purely for esthetic purposes, your treatment could be as short as 6 months. When dealing with more advanced issues like the ones listed above, we will need more time in order to make the changes needed.

All of this to say that we are able to achieve amazing results by building a custom program for each and every one of our patients. We certainly don’t leave any room for guesswork!
